Reasonably priced parking and warm and very very good breakfast for the egg station. Very obliging staff with a good portion of humor.

It is a very good value for your money. Good location for walking around the city, for shopping and convenient for going out in the evening. The hotel gives the option of smoker rooms, which is hard to find nowadays.

Location of hotel was perfect for guests boarding ships at Southampton Docks.
Bedrooms had depressing decor and were very basic. Limited choice breakfasts were charged at £8.50. Insufficient staff resulted in poor service both at the reception desk and in the bar/restaurant.

Location near theatre and shops
Went to breakfast at approx 09:30. All empty tables had dirty crockery on them, had run out of glasses, mugs and most food. Were very slow to replenish and clear tables.

stylish, clean
There are a couple of things which wasn't to great (1) the tempreture of the water in the bath/shower wasn't as hot as we would of liked, l can understand health and safety side of it...! (2) The reception didn't answer the phone from our room as I was trying to get them to call for a Taxi for a certain time, so we could have a few drinks at your bar before we left.(3) Parking? well that was a long walk away! good job it wasn't raining otherwise I would of got soaked. that needs to be looked at!!

The hotel staff were excellent and the hotel was on the edge of some beautiful parks. The children thought it was wonderful.
The air conditioning wasn't working in our room and we had to switch rooms, however, the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
